What is Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts?

Simply put, Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts is an event that will see the reunion of actors from the eight films as they reminisce on the experience 20 years later.

The event has been specifically created to honor the franchise’s 20th anniversary, and the reunion will see Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and director, Chris Columbus, join together to discuss the films.

The magical event will also feature actors Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, and many more.

Where to watch the reunion?

Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts will premiere on Saturday, January 1, 2022, on HBO Max.

With HBO Max only being available in the United States, state-side viewers will have to take out a subscription in order to view the reunion.

Where to watch in the UK?

Many fans in the UK were rather disgruntled to learn that Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts would be an HBO Max exclusive, however, the reunion now has a platform to air in the UK.

Sky has officially announced that Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts will premiere on the platform on January 1, 2022 as well. The reunion will also be shown on NOW – both platforms require a subscription in order to view its catalog.

HBO has a deal with Sky which allows the UK platform to air its shows overseas.

While it has not been confirmed what channel the event will air on, it will likely be Sky Atlantic as that’s the channel where HBO shows are usually broadcast.

Sky and NOW will also be showing Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses – a four-part event hosted by Helen Mirren where fans compete in a tournament of Harry Potter lore – on December 29, 2021.
