Arsenal are expected to ramp up their move for Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski next week with officials expected to travel to Italy.

That’s according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, who claim that Arsenal are desperate to land Kulusevski.

It’s stated that Fabio Paratici wants to take Kulusevski to Tottenham. After all, Paratici signed Kulusevski for Juventus in the first place.

However, Arsenal are considered to be the frontrunners right now. Arsenal officials are travelling to Italy next week to discuss a deal ahead of the January transfer window.

Mikel Arteta is allegedly keen to sign Kulusveski, and Arsenal are prepared to offer €30million plus €5million in add-ons – £25.5million plus £4.25million, bringing the price just shy of £30million.

That isn’t quite what Juventus want for Kulusevski though. They want the negotiation to start at €40million (£34million), which is why Arsenal will hold talks next week.

Who is Arsenal target Dejan Kulusevski?

Kulusevski, 21, started at Brommapojkarna in his native Sweden before joining Atalanta in 2016.

Juventus saw Kulusevski’s potential on loan at Parma and snapped him up in in January 2020.

Branded ‘the new De Bruyne’, Kulusevski can play on either flank or as a number 10.

First-team football has been hard to come by for Kulusevski, but he has huge potential and could be a gem for Arsenal.

Signing a left-footed winger would though raise questions about Nicolas Pepe, who is already struggling for action at Arsenal.

It’s hard to believe that Arsenal will get a free run at Kulusevski given Tottenham’s admiration, but they are taking steps towards a move.
