Alan Smith has praised Arsenal central defender Gabriel on Sky Sports Premier League (8:09pm, December 6, 2021) while watching him in action against Everton at Goodison Park.
The former Arsenal striker has outlined the importance of Gabriel in manager Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Sky Sports pundit has also noted that the £27 million defender (Sky Sports) is always talkin on the pitch.
Smith made the comments in the ninth minute of the Premier League game between Everton and Arsenal at Goodison Park on Monday evening.
The Englishman was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports.

Now, much has been made about Ben White and how he can play out from the back.
And yes indeed the former Leeds United loanee is a brilliant defender.
However, in our opinion, Gabriel should get just as much credit.
After all, the Brazilian is one half of Arsenal’s central defensive partnership.
Gabriel is a very capable and confident defender who is just 23 yard of age.
In our view, the Brazilian is a leader at the back for Arsenal and will only get better.
