Report: Edu could sell £140,000-a-week Arsenal player

Arsenal could sell Nicolas Pepe in the summer of 2022, according to Goal.

Goal have reported today that Arsenal could look to find the winger a new home at the end of the season.

In our opinion, if Pepe leaves in the summer of 2022, then he would not be a big miss for Arsenal.

It could actually help the Gunners.

Now, Arsenal are not going to recoup the £72 million they paid for the Ivory Coast international.

However, whatever transfer fee Arsenal Technical Director Edu is about to get for Pepe could be reinvested in the squad.

He is a good winger who can score some outrageous goals, but the 26-year-old has simply failed to play well consistently.

The £140,000-a-week winger (Spotrac) is not even guaranteed a place in the manager Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.

Bukayo Saka has pretty much taken the place of the winger in the team.
