How did Jamaal Lascelles play?

Lascelles has not been in great form in recent weeks.

And in the opening 10 or 15 minutes against Burnley at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon, the defender did look a bit shaky.

However, the 28-year-old centre-back, who earns £55,000 per week (Salary Sport), grew into the game and stepped up, especially in the second half.

Newcastle defended well, and a big reason was the Englishman staying strong at the back.

Lascelles took two shots but neither was on target, had a pass accuracy of 71.1%, won 11 headers, took 51 touches, made one tackle and six clearances, and put in one cross.
