Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that he has asked chairman Daniel Levy for another month to evaluate his players.

Conte has said that one cannot make judgements on players after one or two games.

The Tottenham boss has said that he will tell club chairman Levy about his wish for the January transfer window after another month.

This means that Conte will evaluate his current Tottenham players in December and then inform Levy.

Conte, though, has made it clear that if he is able to sign players in the January transfer window, then he will do so.

Antonio Conte on Tottenham’s January transfers

The Tottenham boss told Football.London: “The consideration and the judgement [of how well the team is doing] can change only for one win or one loss.

“I asked also to the club for another month to understand very well the situation and to make the right evaluation because I think this is fair.”

Conte added: “Then if there is the possibility to improve the quality then we will try to do it. Now my first thoughts is to work to exploit and to get the best out of the players that I have.

“I have a good group of players and I enjoy a lot to work with this group of players. Now we must be focused on this and then there is time to make the right evaluation with the club.”

Big month for Tottenham players

The month of December will be massive for a lot of the Tottenham players.

Especially those who are on the fringes and are not doing well.

Such as Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele.

A number of players have already been linked with Spurs, such as Ivan Perisic of Inter Milan.

However, it seems that Conte still wants to see how the Tottenham players at his disposal do before making a decision.

In our opinion, this is a very good stance of the former Chelsea and Inter boss.

It means that the current players will get chances to show what they are capable of.
