Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after noticing how Jack Grealish reacted to Manchester City’s first goal last night.

What’s the story?

Well, after Ruben Dias put the Citizens 1-0 up in the 27th minute, the Amazon Prime cameras honed in on Grealish.

Sitting on the bench at Villa Park, the £100m man could be seen laughing and joking with his fellow substitutes, before noticing he was on camera.

After he noticed he was being filmed, Grealish’s reaction changes drastically.

The 26-year-old was beaming, but after having a look around, he swiftly slouches back into his seat and the smile vanishes from his face.

You can see footage of the moment below.

It came after Grealish told Aston Villa supporters he wouldn’t celebrate if he scored against them, when speaking to the Telegraph recently.

It was hardly the most wild celebration we’ll ever see, although the Aston Villa fans are furious nonetheless.

It pains us to think of how well Grealish could’ve done under Steven Gerrard, had he stayed at Villa Park.

Grealish named Gerrard as his second-best Premier League midfielder of all time when speaking to BT Sport, so he clearly admires the 41-year-old.

The England international could’ve taken his game to new heights under Gerrard had he stayed, and would’ve been the talisman of an exciting side containing some excellent players.

Instead, Grealish has just become another cog in the machine that is Manchester City, used sparingly by Pep Guardiola.

The fact he played just three minutes on his return to Villa Park speaks volumes.

Grealish swapped hero status to become just another player at the Etihad Stadium, and it’s sad to see.

For now, let’s see what the Aston Villa fans have been saying about his reaction to Dias opening the scoring…
