How many episodes are in season 3?

Season 3 of Lost in Space will consist of eight episodes in total.

Fans of the series may be a little disappointed by that fact as the episode count is two fewer than we saw in both seasons 1 and 2, which had 10 episodes each.

Across the new instalment, the runtime of each episode ranges from 38 minutes to 58 minutes, with season 3’s total runtime clocking in at 376 minutes (six hours and 16 minutes)

The titles for the eight new episodes are:

  1. Three Little Birds | 54 minutes
  2. Contact | 47 minutes
  3. The New Guy | 49 minutes
  4. Nothing Left | 39 minutes
  5. Stuck | 38 minutes

Will there be a season 4?

No, Lost in Space will not be heading back to Netflix for season 4.

That’s because season 3 was confirmed as the final season when Netflix renewed the series back in March 2020.

Fans will be pleased to know that Lost in Space wasn’t cancelled by Netflix as such, rather it was always the plan to bring the show to an end after three seasons.

Speaking to Variety when Lost in Space was renewed, showrunner Zack Estrin said: “From the beginning, we’ve always viewed this particular story of The Robinsons as a trilogy. A three-part epic family adventure with a clear beginning, middle and end.”

While Lost in Space may be ending, Zack Estrin has signed a deal with Netflix that will see him create more series for the streaming service in the future.
