Marcelo Bielsa has admitted to Leeds Live that even he is surprised by how well Adam Forshaw is performing this season.
Back stronger
Forshaw missed almost two years worth of action with Leeds, after suffering a terrible injury.
However, he has fought his way back to full fitness now and is almost looking better than ever.
Forshaw was everywhere for Leeds last night, as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0.
The midfielder was relentless in his pressing, but he also showed great quality on the ball.
And Bielsa says that Forshaw’s level of performances have even caught him off guard this term.
“Very, very impressed with him,” he said.
“To be fair and sincere, I didn’t expect him to come back to who he was before.
“And to have achieved it in a succession of games he deserves to be valued by those who helped him get healthy and for himself, his affections, I myself don’t include myself in that contribution. Because I never expected him to come back in this way.”
Big win

Forshaw’s refusal to be beaten on the treatment table is now paying off.
His fighting spirit was also on display by Leeds as a side yesterday.
The Whites’ never say die attitude ultimately paid off in the final moments, when Raphinha tucked home a penalty to clinch a vital three points for them.
Leeds’ victory has now moved them up to 15th place in the Premier League table, five points above the drop zone.
