With Mason’s appointment as Governor-General, Queen Elizabeth II agreed to confer on her the honour of Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.

It appears that Sandra’s major focus is her career, however, her Caribbean Elections biography reveals that she takes an interest in reading, playing Scrabble, watching cricket and travelling.

Her greatest achievement is being a mother to her son Matthew who is also an Attorney-at-Law.
