JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Netflix release time

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fifth season, Stone Ocean, will release worldwide through the Netflix streaming platform on Wednesday, December 1st at 12 AM PT.

The highly anticipated anime season will premiere at the following international times:

  • Pacific Time: 12 AM
  • Eastern Time: 3 AM
  • British Time: 8 AM
  • European Time: 9 AM
  • India Time: 1:30 PM
  • Philippine Time: 4 PM
  • Australia Central Time: 6:30 PM

The described launch times have not been officially confirmed by Netflix, but is based on the platform’s typical update window for new content.

How many episodes will Stone Ocean have?

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will consist of 12 individual episodes, which will all be released on December 1st through Netflix.

Previously, Netflix had labelled the series as releasing ‘monthly’, but the streaming platform quietly changed tactics – either in response to the fan confusion or licensing problems with the Japanese television network partners.

Netflix gets the early release…

Traditionally, fans of most anime titles on Netflix had to wait until either the Japanese broadcast had concluded or each week for new simulcast episodes alongside the Japanese.

However, Stone Ocean marks a new release format for the streaming giant, who will bring JoJo’s new season to viewers one month before the series premieres in Japan!

Instead of releasing on December 1st alongside Netflix, Stone Ocean will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11 and MBS television networks on January 8th with Animax following on January 22nd.

Will Netflix now make a habit of streaming the latest anime titles before the Japanese television networks premiere a particular series?
