Tottenham Hotspur fans were dazzled by Erik Lamela’s rabona goal earlier this year, and it has now been shortlisted for the FIFA Puskas Award.
Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by bitter rivals Arsenal back in March as Lamela had quite the eventful day.
Lamela produced a stunning rabona goal at the Emirates Stadium, putting Tottenham 1-0 up.
Sadly, Tottenham lost and Lamela was sent off in what turned out to be a dismal day under Jose Mourinho.
On Monday, Lamela’s goal was back in the spotlight as the FIFA Puskas Award shortlist was announced.
Lamela will go up against the likes of Patrik Schick, Luis Diaz and Valentin Lazaro in the battle for the award.
Lamela’s nonchalant goal surely has a great chance of winning, and he has support from his Tottenham days.

Former Tottenham teammate Jan Vertonghen took to Twitter to suggest that he would be voting for Lamela to win.
Lamela thanked Vertonghen for his support, and seeing the two interact left some Tottenham fans emotional.
The pair were key parts of Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham squad but have both moved on in recent times.
Tottenham fans begged both players to come back, believing they are needed back with supporters claiming they would take both back in a heartbeat.
