Waiting for this American neo-western to return to screens was pretty much agonizing for the hardcore fanbase.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, Yellowstone premiered back in 2018 and saw the likes of Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, and more bringing their A-game.
The series follows the conflicts along the shared borders of a large cattle ranch, a Native reservation, and land developers, culminating in a compelling experience that has only gone from strength to strength.
Fortunately, there’s plenty more to come, so let’s address the Yellowstone season 4 episode 6 air date and what to expect…
Yellowstone season 4 episode 6 air date
The sixth episode of Yellowstone season 4 is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, December 5th 2021 at 8 pm ET on Paramount Network.
Alternatively, you can tune into the latest chapter on Paramount’s official website or the Paramount Network app; this requires your cable subscription details.
On the other hand, those without cable can check it out courtesy of such streaming services as Spectrum, Xfinity, DirecTV, Sling TV, Fubo TV, Philo TV, and beyond.
The episode is titled ‘I Want to Be Him’, and while that may seem mysterious, it could foreshadow jealousy. This has been a prevalent theme throughout the entire series, so it’s wise to assume envy could prove somewhat overwhelming in the episode.
What can we expect?
As for who wants to be who, The Cinemaholic suggests that it could either be Garrett Randall or Jamie wanting to be in John Dutton’s shoes.
Delving into further speculation, your brain’s probably got to work the second the previous episode came to a conclusion. We may see John showing Summer the ranch prove problematic, while it’s likely she will discover a great deal in the process.
Speaking of Summer, it’s not a stretch to see Beth potentially provoked by her, and perhaps jealousy could arise this way too. However, we expect most of Beth’s time on screen will focus on her adjusting to the new role at Market Equities.
Fast forward to other characters, Jamie’s reunion with his son could very well be affected by interference from Garrett, and it remains to be seen whether he will attempt to sneakily sway and manipulate the younger of the party.
We can also expect to see development between Rip and Lloyd.
“Taylor did a great job of challenging us as actors”
While in conversation with ScreenRant, Cole Hauser (who plays Rip Wheeler) opened up about season 4.
When asked what he’s most excited for audiences to see this season, he explained:
“I think it’s the relationship [Carter and Rip] that you talked about, and then the relationship with Beth and how they go through this – not a struggle, but another piece of a relationship that they haven’t had before in their lives.”
He added: “I think it’s being able to navigate that relationship with this other person involved and how he fits into the equation, and how they both have time for each other as well. I think that was the biggest challenge, and I think that Taylor did a great job of challenging us as actors.”
Yellowstone continues on Sunday, December 5th 2021 at 8 pm ET on Paramount Network.
