The Marvel’s Avengers game Spider-Man DLC lands on PlayStation soon and the bad news is that it is not a timed exclusive coming to Xbox and PC in the future.

He doesn’t come with any unique story missions, but there will be 40+ skins to unlock. In addition, you will also be able to websling around maps while performing butt-kicking gymnastics.

While PlayStation players have eagerly anticipated the arrival of Marvel’s main guy for more than a year, it’s unfortunate that he is not joining Tony Stark and crew on other platforms.

Is Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man DLC coming to Xbox and PC?

The Spider-Man DLC for the Marvel’s Avengers video game is not coming to Xbox or PC.

It is simply a PlayStation console exclusive restricted to PS4 and PS5. This is obviously disappointing, but it’s hardly surprising when the recent Insomniac games are Sony exclusives, too.

Crystal Dynamics boss Scot Amos told Den Of Geek that Spider-Man was a unique opportunity for PlayStation players “because of the relationship Sony and PlayStation have with Marvel”.

Amos also referenced the movie rights when speaking to Newsweek. Sony own the movie rights to Spider-Man films and this is despite how the Tom Holland flicks are made by Marvel and Disney.

Is the Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man DLC a timed exclusive?

Crystal Dynamics Spider-Man DLC is not a timed exclusive for the Marvel’s Avengers game.

There’s the slim possibility that he could join Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow on PC, but this isn’t likely as Insomniac’s portrayal of the human spider isn’t coming to computers. It also hasn’t been leaked for Steam unlike other Sony titles.

It’s obviously disappointing that he will not be available on other platforms as he’s Stan Lee’s most popular superhero. Despite the disappointment it brings, the only thing that can be said is that it’s not Square Enix’s or Crystal Dynamics’ fault.

Release date

The release date for the downloadable content is November 30th.

As for what the PC and Xbox community have to anticipate, there will be new enemy types named Echoes. A power level cap increase will also take place and you will be able to confront Klaw.

In regard to next year, leaks suggest that the first character coming out in 2022 will be She-Hulk. This isn’t official but seems more than possible with the Disney Plus series airing next year, too.
