Does the actor have a wife?

Jussie Smollett has dated women in the past, but hasn’t for “a long time“, thus he doesn’t have a wife and he’s also not married.

The actor came out as gay back in 2015, explaining: “There’s never been a closet that I’ve been in.

“It was a bigger deal to everyone than it was for me. But at the same time I do understand why it is something to talk about.”

As for Smollett’s romantic life, he prefers to keep things under wraps, sharing: “I didn’t talk to Ellen so that people could, be like ‘oh my God, let’s see what Jussie does in his bedroom in his private life.’ But I did talk to her so that people understood that they’re not alone. That’s all.”

According to Showbiz Cheatsheet, the actor has been romantically involved with businessman Tawan Davis and, prior, was rumoured to be dating Rafael de la Fuente. In 2018, Jussie confirmed to Page Six that he was “in a relationship and [I’m] happy”, though never disclosed who his partner was at the time.

What is next in the trial?

As mentioned, Smollett is set to face trial on November 29th on charges of faking the racist and homophobic attack.

In 2019, he was charged with felony disorderly conduct after prosecutors said that he lied about an alleged hate crime in Chicago, The Independent reports.
