Ibrahima Konate has confused quite a few Liverpool fans on Twitter.

Konate helped Liverpool to a resounding 4-0 win over Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.

And at 5.02 pm, minutes after the game ended, the French powerhouse tweeted a cryptic gif.

In it, the animated character conjures up something of a fireball and blows it away.

There was no words accompanying the gif and here’s how Liverpool fans reacted on social media:

Fantastic

Less cryptic and confusing is Konate’s start to life at Liverpool, which has been fantastic.

The former Leipzig powerhouse joined Jurgen Klopp’s side for £36 million in May.

So far, he has managed four Premier League starts – three wins, one draw.

He made his Champions League debut for the Reds in the 2-0 win over Porto in midweek, too.

Early days, but Konate is already looking like a fantastic addition by Klopp and Michael Edwards.

Of course, it’s easy to look like a world beater alongside Virgil van Dijk.

But the 22-year-old has an abundance of speed and power and even without the Dutchman, you get the feeling he’d be absolutely fine.
