Trevor Sinclair has said on talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli should leave in the January transfer window.
The former West Ham United winger believes that it is time for Alli to find a new club and open a new chapter in his career.
Sinclair made the comments about Alli following his disappointing performance for Tottenham against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
The 25-year-old England international started the match and had yet another disappointing game.
Antonio Conte’s side lost 2-1.
Dele Alli told to leave Tottenham
Sinclair said about Alli on talkSPORT: “It’s disappointing with what’s happening with Dele Alli at the moment.
“Four, five years ago, I think any club in the world would have taken him. I think he has gone away from what made him.
“He was a box-to-box midfielder that could outrun most of the midfielders.”
The talkSPORT pundit added: “I think he has got to go.
“I just think with what has gone on at Tottenham, obviously the fans’ relationship, everything that has gone on before, I think he needs a new challenge. He needs to get out of his comfort zone and go somewhere else.”

What should Dele Alli do?
Alli is a very good midfielder who has had a dip in form.
The Tottenham star has not been at his best for over two years now.
We saw how good Alli can be in his initial years at Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino.
Alli was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.

The former MK Dons star was dynamic and was scoring goals for fun.
Tottenham fans would love to see that Alli back.
However, in our view, it could be tricky even for Conte to get Alli to that level rightaway.
It could take time.
A loan move away from Spurs to another club for the second half of the season may not be a bad idea.
Newcastle United reportedly want Alli, who should at least consider a potential temporary move to St. James’ Park.
