Content creator Ruben Sim has responded to reports Roblox has filed a lawsuit against the YouTuber.
According to the Polygon, the company is suing the YouTuber after he was allegedly banned from the gaming platform.
Who is Ruben Sim?
Ruben Sim, whose real name is Benjamin Robert Simon, is a YouTube content creator who gained popularity for creating Roblox videos.
He started his online career in 2010 and has since amassed 766,000 subscribers on YouTube.
His content consists of making videos that show his experience of playing games at Roblox.
Roblox is a popular gaming site for children where reportedly 1.3 million users make monetised content.
Roblox files lawsuit against Ruben Sim
Polygon reports Roblox filed a lawsuit against Ruben Sim on Tuesday, November 23rd.
According to the publication, the lawsuit involves several allegations against the content creator, including alleged offensive behaviour on the gaming platform and alleged harassment against the platform’s users.
Roblox alleges Ruben Sim has continued accessing the site under fake accounts and also harassed staff employed by the gaming platform.
The company is suing for $1.6 million in damages.
Ruben Sim responds to lawsuit
Ruben Sim has responded to the allegations against him and said he will come forward with a full statement once the lawsuit has been resolved.
Taking to his Twitter account on November 24th, the content creator wrote: “Gonna make the very smart decision to not comment on the complaint Roblox lodged against me cause I wanna make my lawyer’s and the court’s job as easy as possible. When all of this is said and done you can have my side of the story.”
“I’ll still be uploading vids as usual,” Ruben Sim added in his post.
