Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the situation of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson as they try to find an heir to Hugo Lloris.
They say all good things must come to an end, and that may well be true of Lloris and Tottenham.
Cast your mind back to 2012. Tottenham landed Lloris in an exciting deal, and he has been part of the furniture ever since.
Now 34 and with almost 400 appearances for Tottenham to his name, Lloris has been an incredible servant Tottenham.
Lloris is out of contract at the end of the season though, and talks over a new deal haven’t been held.
With Lloris eyeing a move to Major League Soccer, Tottenham may need to sign a goalkeeper – such as United’s Henderson.
Tottenham eye United raid for Henderson
The Daily Mail now claim that Tottenham have one eye on the situation of Henderson at United.
Henderson didn’t play a single league game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
Solskjaer has now gone, but you can’t really see Henderson’s United fortunes changing any time soon.
David De Gea is United’s clear first-choice goalkeeper, and Henderson wants a permanent exit according to 90Min. That report adds that Newcastle United want Henderson too.

That may be what Tottenham want. Praised as ‘insane’ and ‘exceptional’ by Sander Berge when playing regularly at Sheffield United, Henderson just can’t stall his career any longer.
A move to Tottenham to replace Lloris would at least allow Henderson to play regularly.
You couldn’t really blame Henderson if he does want to try and impress whoever United’s next manager is, but an exit looks likely.
Tottenham will now see what the coming months hold for Henderson ahead of a possible bid.
If he remains on the bench, we could see a Tottenham v Newcastle fight for Henderson in 2022.
