Is Brie Larson being replaced as Captain Marvel?

Fans can rest assured as Brie Larson is not being replaced as Captain Marvel.

In fact, Brie will reprise her role as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the 2023 movie The Marvels, as per IMDB.

The film is currently in production and is scheduled to be released on February 17th, 2023.

The confusion starter after a misleading news headline involving actress Alexandra Daniels who did the voiceover of Captain Marvel in the Disney+ series What If…?.

Many people took to Twitter to share their confusion, with one tweeting: “Did I miss something? Was Brie Larson really replaced in the MCU? Or is just a rumor?”

Who is Alexandra Daniels?

Alexandra Daniels is an actress and producer who provided Captain Marvel’s voiceover in What If…?.

She is known for her roles in the 2016 drama Mothers and Daughters and the supernatural series Salem. She is set to appear in the upcoming films The Music Makers and The Redeemer.

Alexandra is gaining more popularity on social media as she currently has 17,000 followers on her Instagram profile.

On her bio, she has written that her page is about fitness and food and “and the occasional funny (usually in the form of a pun or a dad-joke”.

What did Alexandra Daniels say about her role?

During a Twitch stream, Alexandra revealed that she was very surprised to be chosen for Captain Marvel’s role as she initially thought she was going to be a voice double.

“When I auditioned they were looking for a Brie Larson voice double,” the actress explained. “So they sent a clip of Brie Larson from the movie and I was like cool, I can do that and I did it and like a month later they were like you booked it. And that was my first voice over job ever.

“I thought I was going to just be like Brie Larson’s voice double, I’m not going to get any credit, they’re going to say it was her. Until the day the first episode came out and it had my name, my agents were like you can’t talk about it, you can’t say anything, you can’t promote yourself, you can’t do anything until we see it’s you or Brie Larson.”
