Jamie Carragher has praised Joe Gelhardt on Twitter, as the young striker makes his first Premier League start against Tottenham Hotspur.
What’s the story?
Leeds are playing against Tottenham away from home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the moment.
Gelhardt has started for the West Yorkshire club.
It is the first time that the 19-year-old striker has started in a Premier League game.
The England Under-20 international got his chance today due to Spain international forward Rodrigo missing out because of a foot injury.
Jamie Carragher’s verdict
Former Liverpool defender Carragher believes that Gelhardt is a “great young talent”.
The Sky Sports pundit also believes that Leeds signed the youngster from Wigan Athletic for a bargain.

As reported by The Sun, Leeds paid Wigan £1 million for the teenager in the summer of 2020.
In the first half at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Gelhardt took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 81.8%, took 24 touches, and attempted four dribbles.
Leeds are 1-0 up in North London, thanks to a goal from Wales international winger Daniel James.
