According to The Sun, Jesse Lingard is already getting ready to join West Ham United in January.

The midfielder is supposedly making personal arrangements for a permanent move back to West Ham.

Lingard was of course on loan at the Hammers last season, spending a tremendous six months at the London Stadium from January until the end of the season.

It’s fair to say that Lingard was something of a revelation during his time with the Hammers. He scored nine goals in 16 league appearances as the Clarets narrowly missed out on a Champions League place.

Interestingly, West Ham are reportedly ready to pay £10m to land the midfielder in January despite the fact he would be available for a free in the summer as his Manchester United contract ticks down.

West Ham were strongly linked with a move for Lingard in the summer, but, for one reason or another, the transfer never came to fruition.

It’s not all that surprising to hear that West Ham want to sign Lingard. After all, Mark Noble claimed last he was Moyes’ favourite player last season, claiming that the manager ‘loves’ Lingard.

Moyes may now get the chance to reunite with Lingard and he will certainly be hoping that the 28-year-old can rediscover the form he showed last season.
