Speaking to Liverpool’s official club website, Jurgen Klopp has delivered an update on Harvey Elliott after he was seen running back on the grass at Liverpool’s training ground earlier this week.
Elliott went down with what looked to be a very nasty injury against Leeds back in September, but luckily, it seems as though the youngster is recovering at a rapid rate.
Indeed, Elliott is back running on the grass after his dislocated ankle and Klopp says that he has been really surprised by the teenager’s rate of recovery.
What’s been said?
Klopp gave an update on Elliott.
“Harvey [Elliott] as well is in a really good place. We cannot rush that but I was really surprised when I saw him running and it looks completely normal, which is a good sign. He is completely without pain and stuff like this, now he can really make the next steps,” Klopp said.

Great to hear
This is fantastic news for Liverpool.
Elliott looked like a star in the making earlier this season and he was keeping some of the Reds’ best players out of their starting XI.
However, a bad injury looked as though it could derail his development, but after a lot of hard work, it seems as though the teenager is way ahead of schedule when it comes to getting back fit and firing.
Elliott won’t be back this weekend, but it seems as though it won’t be too long before the teenage starlet will return to action.
