Barcelona stepping up Arthur Cabral chase
Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona are keen on signing Cabral as a replacement for Sergio Aguero in the January transfer window.
Former Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder Deco is working on behalf of the La Liga club.
Deco now works as an agent and counts Leeds United winger Raphinha among his clients.
The former Portugal international midfielder has already made contact with the agent of the Basel striker.
Blow for Tottenham and Arsenal
Barcelona stepping up their chase for Cabral will come as a blow for both Arsenal and Tottenham.
TEAMtalk reported in October 2021 that Arsenal and Tottenham are scouting the 23-year-old striker.
The Gunners could do with a young striker, as both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are in their 30s.
In fact, Lacazette is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer of 2022.
Harry Kane remains a world-class striker, but Tottenham need a back-up to the England international.
Cabral is a very prolific striker who has scored 13 goals in 13 Swiss Super League appearances already this season.
