Can a cast this good really be cancelled?

Perhaps there’s never been a better time to put your feet up, grab the remote, and see what the TV landscape has to offer.

From historical drama to horror, all your genres are covered and so many prestige streaming services are delivering the very best in entertainment.

To do that, you arguably need some of the very best names aboard your cast. The Morning Show – inspired by Brian Stelter’s Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV – has them in spades.

Boasting the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell, greenlighting the American drama for a second batch of episodes was probably a no-brainer for Apple TV+.

But, has The Morning Show season 3 been confirmed yet?

Is The Morning Show renewed for season 3?

As of yet, the creators, cast nor Apple TV+ have announced that The Morning Show has been renewed for season 3.

The second season concluded on Friday, November 19th 2021 with episode 10 – titled ‘Fever – and episodes have been airing on the platform weekly.

So, it’s fair to say that Apple already has a grasp of how successful season 2 has been in terms of viewing figures. Of course, it’s also worth accounting for delayed viewing, with more audiences likely to watch it in the coming months.

Taking this into consideration, we could expect some concrete renewal or cancellation news as early as December 2021.

There’s clearly lots more story to tell and the on-set of the pandemic is portrayed in the finale, teasing that it could be an imposing black cloud hanging over the events of season 3.

“I hope it continues”

The Morning Show showrunner Kerry Ehrin was asked about the season 3 situation while in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter.

She clarified that they “haven’t had an official pickup for a third season. We’re waiting on that.”

Following this up, the interviewer asked whether Kerry hoped for a few more seasons or just the one. She replied:

“I feel like the show has a lot of different projections that would work for it. I think right now, I just finished a season that has taken two years. I am just taking a break!I do have a development deal [at Apple] and I am working on some other projects that I’m excited about.”

She added: “… that being said, I love the show and I dearly love the cast of the show and I hope it continues.”

As for whether she wrote the second season finale an end, she revealed “No. I didn’t. I don’t think it’s written as an end to the series at all.”

Let’s hear from the fans
