Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been speaking about Arsenal’s goalkeeping situation.

The Gunners are in quite a strong position in terms of their goalkeepers right now. Aaron Ramsdale is in the form of his life, while Bernd Leno is also a tried and tested option at this level.

However, Seaman is rather worried about Leno’s mindset, he thinks that the German is bound to be unhappy about his current situation.

What’s been said?

Seaman gave his view on the Gunners’ goalkeeping situation.

“Yeah, it’s a difficult one because ideally you want a number one like either Martinez or Ramsdale, then a really experienced number two who is happy to sit on the bench who isn’t negative around the dressing room because they’re not playing. It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer or even in January as to what happens with Leno because I’m sure that he won’t be happy not playing,” Seaman said.

Won’t be happy

Seaman may be absolutely right about Leno’s mindset.

The German has been Arsenal’s number one for years at this point, but all of a sudden, he’s found himself on the bench.

Leno has the quality to be a starter at a number of top clubs, but it’s hard to envisage him getting back into this Arsenal team anytime soon.

Don’t be surprised if the German ends up leaving the Emirates in the not so distant future.
