Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has been waxing-lyrical about Emile Smith Rowe and Conor Gallagher.
Smith Rowe and Gallagher made their first appearances for England over the past week and Mings has been very impressed by what he’s seen from the two youngsters.
Indeed, the Villa star labelled the pair as ‘unbelievable’ and ‘fantastic’ while praising them for their ability to bed in to the England squad.
What’s been said?
Mings was asked about the impact Smith Rowe and Gallagher have had.
“Absolutely yeah, those two lads you’ve mentioned there they’ve had unbelievable starts to the season haven’t they? They’re both fantastic players who have come into this set-up and flourished. They’ve played like themselves, enjoyed themselves and contributed positively for the team,” Mings said.
England have such an exciting crop of midfield talents coming through and Smith Rowe and Gallagher could have huge parts to play for the Three Lions in the coming years.
The pair are proving themselves in the Premier League on a weekly basis and it’s not just Mings who has been blown away by them.
The sky really is the limit for this crop of young English talents and we can only hope that these two will push each other to become the best they can be.
