Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with Antonio Rudiger – and the Chelsea man is believed to be very settled in London right now.

German newspaper Bild report that Rudiger would like to stay at Chelsea or at least in London having settled there.

Rudiger is out of contract at the end of the season and looking for huge wages in order to renew his Chelsea deal.

The German has been sensational this season but could price himself out of staying with the Blues.

That means Rudiger, who cost £29million in 2017, could leave for nothing.

Bayern Munich would then be interested in taking Rudiger back to the Bundesliga; Rudiger hasn’t played in Germany’s top flight since leaving Stuttgart in 2015.

Rudiger wanting to stay in London gives Chelsea some hope, but may also allow Tottenham to dream.

Tottenham’s interest in Rudiger

An interesting claim emerged on Tuesday as journalist Dean Jones talked up Tottenham’s chances of signing Rudiger.

“You look at somebody like Antonio Rudiger,” said Jones. “Tottenham’s interest in him is genuine, and from what he’s heard so far, they’re probably the club willing to push the boat out the most in terms of salary,” he added to The Football Terrace.

That’s a hugely exciting claim, with Tottenham seemingly desperate to lure Rudiger from West London to North London.

Rudiger could transform Tottenham’s defence alongside Cristian Romero, though he did have a mixed relationship with Antonio Conte.

This would be a huge coup if Tottenham can pull it off, and hearing that Rudiger wants to stay in London will give them real hope.
