Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Folarin Balogun.

What’s the story?

Arsenal striker Balogun has said that he is open to leaving the Gunners on loan in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old is struggling for playing time at the moment.

The young striker has made one start and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season.

Balogun has played just seven minutes in the Carabao Cup for the Gunners so far this campaign.

What Folarin Balogun has said

Balogun told The Mirror: “I feel like I am ready for a new challenge. I feel like I have played youth football for a while.

“I have scored goals at that level and improved at that level drastically compared to now. At the same time I am not sure what that challenge might be.

“It might be a loan, or if I am needed at Arsenal I am here and the gaffer knows that as well. I feel like I am definitely open to a new challenge, wherever it is I will be ready.”

What are Arsenal fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans want Balogun to leave on loan in January.

Well, some of them anyway.

It is really hard to see the striker get much playing time in the coming weeks at Arsenal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are ahead of Balogun in the pecking order.

Arsenal are doing well at the moment.

The Mirror have reported that West Ham United and Middlesbrough are interested in the striker.

Sheffield United also also looking at a potential loan deal for Balogun, according to The Sun.

In our view, Arsenal should consider sending Balogun out on loan for the second half of the season.
