Arsenal have grown impatient and given up on signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

That’s according to Sky Italia’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that Arsenal haven’t been able to get in contact with Vlahovic’s representatives.

Arsenal were allegedly keen to pay a huge €80million (£68million) for Vlahovic in 2022.

However, Vlahovic seemingly isn’t interested and his agent isn’t responding to Arsenal’s pursuit.

With that in mind, Arsenal have allegedly become ‘impatient’ and decided to give up on a move for the Serbian.

Vlahovic still looks likely to leave Fiorentina next year, but don’t expect Arsenal to be his destination.

Will Tottenham have any more luck going for Vlahovic?

The report notes that Fiorentina actually suspect that Vlahovic may already have an agreement in place with another club.

Vlahovic is refusing a new contract and may already know where he wants to go.

Tottenham want to sign Vlahovic, but are eyeing him for next summer rather than in January.

Vlahovic already has 10 goals in 12 league games this season. That comes after 21 goals in 37 outings last term.

The Serbian hitman looks set for stardom, but appears to have lofty ambitions for his next move after leaving Fiorentina.

If Arsenal can’t engineer a move, Tottenham may face similar problems with both clubs out of the top four in recent times.

Tottenham do though have Antonio Conte, and may need the Italian’s pull in order to bring Vlahovic to North London and embarrass Arsenal in the process.
