Leeds United fans have reacted on Twitter to Conor Gallagher being called up by England for the first time.
The Chelsea loanee is called up for England after his performances for Crystal Palace this season, but it could have been very different in the summer for the player.
Leeds were keen on signing the all-action midfielder, but he opted to stay put in London and moved to Selhurst Park instead.
Whilst many months ago, the Whites fans would have been dreaming about possibly watching Gallagher link-up with Kalvin Phillips.
Well, they won’t see that on the domestic stage, but instead, they will see it on the international stage.
Some of the Leeds faithful are just questioning what could have been if they did sign him and how they have missed out on such a talent.
What will probably hurt those at Elland Road the most is that Gallagher is exactly what they need right now.
His ability to carry the ball, to link up the defence and attack and make those attacking runs inside the box is what would elevate this Leeds side.
But perhaps what is the most underappreciated part of his game is his aggression without the ball and not allowing the opposition to settle.
