Joe Rodon is struggling for playing time at Tottenham Hotspur, but the defender is doing well for Wales.
The Tottenham central defender was in action for Wales in their 5-1 win against Belarus on Saturday.
The win in the 2022 World Cup qualifier saw Wales move up to second place in their qualifying group.
Rodon started the match alongside fellow Tottenham defender Ben Davies.
Davies is a left-back by trade, but against Belarus, he was deployed in central defence alongside the 24-year-old.
Rodon played well, and his performance was hailed by WalesOnline.
Local media praises Joe Rodon
While giving the former Swansea City defender 8 out of 10, WalesOnline wrote: “A superb presence in the middle of the defence.
“Showed once again just how well he reads the game, cutting out several promising moments for the visitors. Looked impressively sharp for a man who has only made one league appearance for Tottenham.
“Sterner tests clearly await, but a really classy performance. One has to wonder if Antonio Conte was watching.”

Impressing Antonio Conte
Conte has only just taken over as the Tottenham head coach.
The defender, who cost Spurs £11 million (BBC Sport), was in the matchday squad for Tottenham’s win against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League.
The 24-year-old was then left out of the matchday squad for the Premier League game against Everton.
Now, Rodon has struggled for playing time under previous mangers, but perhaps he will win over Conte in the coming weeks.
Especially if he can replicate his performance against Belarus.
Rodon has made 13 appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far in his career.
