Everton have confirmed Yerry Mina has returned to light training at Finch Farm following a spell on the sidelines through injury, sparking some fans to react on social media.
The Toffees released a raft of images from Rafa Benitez’s training session on Thursday to the club’s official website.
Among those spotted in action included Mina, Richarlison and Andros Townsend, with those not on international duty this month.
Mina has been out of action since Everton held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in October. Missing their last three Premier League fixtures, after taking a seat on the bench against West Ham United last month.
Benitez has been unable to call on the 27-year-old since hosting the Hammers after Mina sustained a hamstring injury. The centre-back felt the issue in training after playing three games in six-days for Colombia during the October international period.
Mina’s injury came as a big blow for Benitez, having started the £120k-a-week defender in five of his opening seven Premier League games in charge at Everton this season.
The Toffees are also yet to win without the 38-cap international, while keeping a first clean sheet against Tottenham. Shutting Antonio Conte’s side out in a goalless draw last Sunday.
