Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe has stated that ‘it’s crazy’ that he is training alongside Tottenham striker Harry Kane for England, as he told his pre-match press conference.
The Arsenal academy product was called up by England this week and will be playing alongside Kane during these forthcoming matches.
When it comes to the domestic stage, there’s no doubt that Kane and Smith Rowe are rivals.
But it’s a different story when it comes to donning the England shirt because, whether you are Spurs or Arsenal, it doesn’t matter.
Nonetheless, ahead of his first few training sessions for England, Smith Rowe was asked which players he was awestruck by and he put forward Kane’s name.
“Harry Kane, the captain of England,” said Smith Rowe. “What he has done, it’s crazy to be training alongside him.
“I knew training was going to be difficult. Everyone is so good.”

This is now Smith Rowe’s chance to elevate his game even further and showcase why he should be part of England’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
This time last season, Smith Rowe wasn’t even a regular member of the Arsenal team.
But, fast forward to today, and not only is he one of the first names on the teamsheet, but one of the form players of the Premier League.
He could be making his debut for England this week and linking up with a certain Kane in the final third.
