A new era has finally begun at Newcastle United and it’s fair to say that the supporters are proper excited.
Eddie Howe has been taking charge of his first few training sessions this week and the eagle-eyed fans have spotted a few things already.
During one of the clips in training, Howe said: “It’s not a criticism, it’s just a different type of training.”, as posted by the club’s official YouTube account.
Those words stuck by the Toon Army faithful, who are just grateful that they now have someone in charge who will be more forward-thinking, critical and tactically-orientated compared to the previous coach Steve Bruce.
Howe was hands-on during the clips Newcastle put out and the excitement levels have gone up even further, as a result.
The Newcastle fans did make it clear that Howe has a lot of work to do because these players have been used to a certain way for far too long.
Not only is Howe trying to show them new methods, but it’s also about trying to coax them out of their old ways which have been problematic to them for far too long.
This isn’t a helpful situation for Howe, in regards to coming into a team with no wins in the Premier League this season, but if he can get those three points straight away, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if two of them come at once.
They start with a home clash against Brentford, before travelling to London to take on Arsenal.
One thing is for sure, it has been a very long time since the Newcastle faithful were this excited about where they are heading.
