Liverpool fans have reacted with delight on Twitter to Harvey Elliott’s injury update.
The 18-year-old posted several video clips on his Instagram story of him doing some weight training and exercise work where he is putting extra weight on his legs.
It delighted the Liverpool supporters and they are hopeful that he will be back sooner, rather than later.
Elliott isn’t the only one on the sidelines for Liverpool, at this moment in time, because Noby Keita recently entered the treatment room, whilst Roberto Firmino is already being treated.
Some Liverpool supporters questioned whether Elliott will be back on the park before the above duo because, judging by what he is posting, there are sections that are optimistic.
As things stand, the Africa Cup of Nations will take place after the New Year, which will cause havoc for Jurgen Klopp.
He would lose both Sadio Mane and Mo Salah during that period, which would be a massive blow to their chances of winning the Premier League title.
Therefore, if someone like Elliott can get back on the pitch as soon as possible, then his attacking presence would be a huge boost.
It still wouldn’t mask over the big hole someone like Salah would leave out on that right-hand side.
But the Reds are a better team With Elliott in the starting XI, as he proved during the early exchanges of this campaign.
