Aaron Ramsdale has been speaking on the Tubes & Ange Golf Life YouTube channel about his start to life at Arsenal.
Interestingly, the £30m man made an admission about Ben White.
What’s the story?
Well, Ramsdale and White have known each other for ‘a long time’ as the shot-stopper admitted to Tubes and Ange.
Clearly, they have a good relationship on and off the pitch, as the £50m centre-back is often quick to praise the 23-year-old after he makes a crucial save.
However, Ramsdale admitted that White sometimes goes a bit over the top.
Speaking on Tubes & Ange Golf Life, the Arsenal No.32 said: “Ben White & Gabriel & Tomiyasu or KT or Nuno [Tavares], whenever they’re playing, we actually really enjoy defending. Ben said to me in the middle of the game, ‘When you make a save, I just want to punch you in the face!’.”
By the sounds of it, the pair are perhaps too passionate about defending!
All jokes aside, this is great to hear.
About time Arsenal had Aaron Ramsdale and others

For too long, Arsenal’s goalkeeper and backline have lacked this passion.
Over the years, the Gunners have developed a reputation for being soft, as the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Bernd Leno and others have looked lost.
However, Ramsdale, White and co. look like they love defending, which adds a steely determination to Arsenal’s backline.
Specifically, you only need to look at how Ramsdale reacts when his backline concedes a shot, or contribute to a soft goal being conceded.

The ex-Bournemouth man often goes ballistic, shouting and screaming.
It may look chaotic, but Arsenal’s defenders won’t enjoy being shouted at, so it will help them to remain concentrated and focused in future.
At last, it looks like Arsenal have some grit to their backline once again.
