Speculation over the whereabouts of Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, has been spreading online after the gov. has been out from public sight.

Newsom was last seen in October when he received his Covid-19 booster shot, but has not been seen in public since. He did not make an appearance at the COP26 conference in Glasgow either.

Where is Gavin Newsom?

A week ago California Gov. Gavin Newsom cancelled plans to attend the United Nations climate summit in Scotland. His spokesperson Erin Mellon said in a statement:

“Due to family obligations, Governor Newsom will no longer be traveling to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) and will instead be participating virtually, focusing on California’s landmark climate change policies.”

During the announcement on October 29th his office said that Newsom planned to participate virtually in the conference but he did not.
