Jack Wilshere has said on Premier League Football (6:46pm, November 7, 2021) that he is surprised that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp does not play Divock Origi more.
The former Arsenal midfielder made the comments about Origi after watching him in action for Liverpool against West Ham last night.
The 26-year-old Belgium international came on as a substitute to score in the 83rd minute.
Liverpool lost the Premier League game 3-2 at London Stadium.
Wilshere was following the match for Sky Sports.
The Englishman was impressed by Origi’s goal, and has said that he is surprised that Klopp keeps ignoring him.
Wilshere said on Premier League Football (6:46pm, November 7, 2021): “It’s a great finish. I am surprised he has not played a lot more. I really like him.”

Too much competition for Divock Origi
Origi joined Liverpool in 2014 and has won the Premier League and the Champions League with the Reds.
However, the Belgium international striker is a squad player at Anfield.
And that is understandable.
After all, Klopp has the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota at his disposal in attack.
It is always going to be hard for Origi to get in the team ahead of them.
The striker has played only 16 minutes in the Premier League and 77 minutes in the Champions League so far this season.
The former Lille star has scored 20 goals in 102 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
