Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Granit Xhaka returning to training.
What’s the story?
Xhaka trained today at London Colney.
The Switzerland international midfielder has posted the following message on Instagram.
This is the first time that Xhaka has been pictured in training since his injury.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that the £30 million player (Sky Sports) will be back in action in January 2022.
Given that today is only November 6, maybe, just maybe, Xhaka could be back playing sooner.
What are Arsenal fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans are pleased, surprised and encouraged by Xhaka’s recovery.
Well, some of them anyway.
Xhaka is an important player for Arsenal, and his return will be welcomed by Arteta.
The Gunners are actually doing well without him.
Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi Lokonga have established themselves as the two pivots in midfield.
But if Arsenal are to be successful this season, then they need all of their players available including Xhaka.
It is indeed very exciting times for Arsenal.
