BTS V aka Kim Taehyung’s individual stage presence has been branded as ‘stronger than anyone else’ in K-pop by music critic Jung Min-Jae in a recent ‘Cultura’ magazine issue. The critic also lavished praise on V’s rich vocal tone, a rarity in K-pop.

V of BTS has time and again proved how his individual impact can make songs break world records. Kim Taehyung‘s unpromoted OST ‘Sweet Night‘ broke Adele’s highest obtained #1 in iTunes record, while also becoming the highest streamed K-drama OST in Spotify. This shows his incredible impact.

Jung Min Jae, in a recent BTS-based ‘Cultura’ magazine issue, highlighted the ‘Blue and Grey’ maker’s boundless charms that have created its own genre in K-pop.

Music Critic certifies BTS V’s rich tone as ‘rare’ in K-pop and talks about his individual stage presence

In a recent issue of ‘Cultura’ magazine, music critic Jung Min Jae talked in length about the rare vocals of BTS V that sets him apart, not just in BTS, but in all of K-pop, as a ‘rare’ tone.

The feature talks in length about BTS V’s exceptional stage presence. “BTS V is an excellent eye-catcher. It’s been like that since his debut. At the beginning of his career, though he was covered by members with basic skills and personality, V’s individual presence was stronger than anyone else,” he explained.

The feature adds, “V had a rare tone not only within BTS but also throughout the history of K-pop idols. It is a mid to low tone commonly known as ‘cave voice.’ The unexpected deep and hard sound was known as his unexpected charm and wedged his popularity.”

More rookie idols mention V as their role model, proving his influence as ‘idol of idols’

Kim Taehyung has been a role model to over 50 K-pop rookie idols and the list only keeps growing. Recently, Enhypen’s main rapper and lead dancer Jay named Kim Taehyung as the idol with who he’d like to be close.

Earlier in an Elle Japan Interview, “Jay gushed, I want to continue to enjoy my work and become an adult as cool and important like my role model, V of BTS.”

More idols like Cravity’s Jungmo has previously called the ‘Winter Bear’ crooner a ‘ray of light‘ in his life. The 21-year-old rising K-pop star had confessed, “V-sunbaenim was the one ray of light in my ordinary school days. I became an ARMY in my first year of high school…”

From music critics to rookie idols, it is clear that the influence of BTS V in K-pop as well as in the global music charts is only increasing.
