Chris Sutton is berating the ‘shocker’ which led to Leeds United moving ahead against Norwich City this afternoon.

A relatively dull affair between Leeds and the Canaries at Carrow Road exploded into life after the break.

Raphinha fired the Whites ahead on 56 minutes but almost instantly, a header from Andrew Omobamidele got City back on level terms.

Two minutes later, Rodrigo helped Marcelo Bielsa’s side into a 2-1 lead but the goal was courtesy of a major error from Tim Krul.

The Spanish attacker took aim with a left-footed drive outside the box in what could – and should – have been a routine save for Krul, but the latter didn’t get a strong enough hand to the ball and the Leeds star wheeled away in celebration.

Here’s how Sutton reacted to the goal on Twitter:

Lucky?

That Krul error ended up deciding the game, because it was the decisive goal of the contest.

Yes it’s a little bit lucky for Leeds, but nobody affiliated with the West Yorkshire club will care.

This was only their second Premier League victory of the season and it takes them three points clear of the relegation zone.

As for Daniel Farke’s side, well they’re rooted to the foot of the table and eight points adrift of safety now.

You never say never in football, but it is looking like such a tall order for them to stay in the top filght from here.
