According to Haber365, West Ham target Cyle Larin is keen on a move to the Premier League, and is refusing to sign a new contract at Besiktas.

What’s the story?

Well, this is hugely encouraging news for West Ham.

The Irons bid £9m for the 26-year-old back in January, and continued to track Larin over the summer transfer window (Sabah).

Eventually, the 42-cap Canada international stayed in Turkey, where he has continued to score goals at an impressive rate.

Haber365 believe Larin is demanding €2.3m-a-year to stay at Besiktas, which equates to £1.9m-a-year and £36,538-a-week.

However, the Süper Lig outfit are only offering him £1.7m-a-year.

As a result, Larin is looking into a move to the Premier League, a division he would like to compete in.

Should West Ham sign Cyle Larin?

In our view, the Canadian would be a decent deputy for Michail Antonio, and also someone who wouldn’t break the bank for David Moyes.

Larin has scored four goals in nine appearances this season, including one goal in two Champions League outings.

He also had 20 goals in his 42 appearances for Canada, which is very impressive.

Last season, Larin scored 23 goals in 45 outings, while also providing six assists.

At 26, you could even argue that the Besiktas No.17 is yet to reach his prime years as a footballer.

Larin’s contract also expires in June, so there’s a good chance of a cheap January move.

As you can see, there are plenty of positives surrounding this deal.

West Ham, get that chequebook out.
