Neco Williams has labelled his Liverpool teammate Conor Bradley as a ‘great talent’, as he told Sky Sports.
The duo featured for Liverpool on Wednesday night, as the Reds recorded a 2-0 win over Preston North End in the League Cup.
Williams started at right-back for his boyhood club, whilst Bradley was a second-half substitute against the Championship side.
When the 18-year-old was introduced into the action by Jurgen Klopp, it allowed Williams to push further forward, whilst Bradley slotted in as the right-sided fullback.
It worked a treat because Williams supplied the assist for the opening goal, before Divock Origi’s cheeky backheel flick sealed the win six minutes from time.
Williams praised his fellow academy product as a ‘fantastic player’ and commented on his own performance against Preston.
“I felt like I had energy,” said Williams. “In the first half especially, I was getting right up. I was trying to play as high as I can.
“Conor Bradley. Fantastic player. Young lad. Great talent, he went right-back and I went right-wing. Wherever the gaffer puts me I am happy to play.
“He could put be as a striker or goalkeeper and I am happy to play.”

It’s a shame for both Williams and Bradley that they have probably the best right-back in the world in front of them.
That decreases their chances of earning those minutes, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t get recognised on the international stage.
Williams is a regular for Wales, whilst Bradley is starting to feature for Northern Ireland and will be hoping to do so again next month.
All in all, Liverpool are pretty stacked in the right-back department and it’s an area that they don’t have to worry about for many, many years yet.
