Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Patrick Bamford has been discussing Rodrigo’s performance against Wolves at the weekend.
The Spaniard once again started up front against Wolves as Bamford remains sidelined with injury, and it’s fair to say he impressed.
Rodrigo didn’t have the best first-half, but towards the end of the match, as the fans began to ramp up, the 30-year-old began to run the show.
Bamford was incredibly impressed by what he saw and he spoke about Rodrigo on the podcast.
What’s been said?
Bamford was full of praise for the attacker.
“I’ve got to say, watching it, I felt that Rodrigo was brilliant, which was nice to see. I felt like he showed what he can do, which is important. Looking at it from the selfish side, I’m buzzing if he’s playing behind me and he’s playing like that, then that’s brilliant because he was good. It was a toss-up between him and the fans in the last half an hour that changed that game,” Bamford said.

Bright performance
Rodrigo has received a lot of criticism in recent weeks for his performances, and to be honest, he’s not been good enough at times.
To say he’s Leeds’ record signing, you’d expect more from him, and on Saturday, he showed exactly why the Whites paid so much for him.
The forward was brilliant. He made smart decisions on the ball while his running off the ball left the Wolves defence perplexed.
If Rodrigo continues to play like that, Bamford may struggle to get back into the team.
