Will Eternals be on HBO Max?
No, Eternals is not scheduled to stream on the platform HBO Max.
The latest Marvel installment will instead get a worldwide theater release on Friday, November 5, 2021 and will be approximately two and a half hours long.
Additionally, Eternals will not be available to stream on Disney + at launch, as the film has a 45-day exclusivity window in theaters to honor before it arrives on the platform.
Eternals will also have a mid-credits scene and a post-credits scene.
When does the film take place?
Eternals is reported to be set around eight months after the events of Avengers: Endgame, in a similar timeframe to Spider-Man: Far From Home.
This means that the events shown in Eternals take place after WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings.
However, Eternals will take place before Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Early reviews of the Marvel film
Eternals has received a large bag of mixed, early reviews, with some reports calling it “Marvel’s worst movie so far” and others praising its ability to tell a “stunning MCU origin story.”
The New York Post claimed that the characters bulking out the Eternals race were “boring” and the review also criticized the characters’ penchant for always standing in formation.
NME, on the other hand, praised its stunning visuals and believed that by the end of the film, fans will be invested in these characters and ready to welcome each of their stand-alone features.
Eternals will hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
