Tottenham Hotspur lost yet another London derby on Sunday, falling to a 1-0 defeat at West Ham United – and fans were split on Cristian Romero’s passion.

After losing to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal, Nuno Espirito Santo really needed a result against West Ham.

Unfortunately for the Tottenham boss, Spurs lost once again.

Michail Antonio’s second-half goal clinched all three points for West Ham, with Tottenham unable to muster a response.

One moment really caught the eye in the second half, with defender Cristian Romero clashing with West Ham ace Pablo Fornals.

Romero put in a strong tackle on Fornals down West Ham’s left, leaving the Spaniard in a heap.

Romero took umbrage with Fornals rolling on the floor, so got right in his face and shouted at him.

That sparked a fracas between the two sides, with Romero picking up a yellow card.

Some Tottenham fans absolutely loved Romero’s passion, even suggesting that he has Erik Lamela vibes in terms of his itensity.

Others think that Romero actually showed inexperience in this incident.

They think that Romero actually fired up the West Ham crowd and gave them the win, believing his passion in this moment was nothing to celebrate.
