As far as Sundays go, that was a truly horrible one for Tottenham Hotspur.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side lost 1-0 away to West Ham United in yet another London derby defeat.

Spurs have now faced four teams from the same city this season and lost all of them – Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Arsenal and the Hammers.

Even worse, it was a rotten performance by Tottenham, who didn’t manage a single shot during the second half of the game.

But there was another piece of embarrassing news to come.

Nuno’s side lost 1-0 to Vitesse in the Europa Conference League in midweek and the Eredivisie outfit went down 2-1 at home to newly-promoted Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday.

Here’s how some fans of the North London club are reacting to that result from the Netherlands.

Sums it up

It’s a shock if only for the fact that the Vitesse result isn’t that surprising.

Of course something like this was going to happen for Tottenham.

Nothing – absolutely nothing – is going their way right now and credit to some of their fans for seeing the funny side.

It must be noted that Spurs did have a lot of fringe players against Vitesse, but that’s not much of an excuse because they also had the likes of Dele Alli, Steven Bergwijn and Giovani lo Celso in the first XI.

Even with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, no Lilywhites fan would’ve backed their side to win that game, given how erratic the form has been in every competition this season.
