Leeds United fans on Twitter are worried about what Graham Smyth has tweeted about Rapinha.

The Brazil international was taken off injured in the second half of Leeds’ visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road this afternoon.

Romain Saiss was booked for his challenge on the Whites attacker, who looked in serious discomfort due to an ankle issue.

Not only that, but the former Rennes winger needed to be helped down the tunnel directly after his substitution, according to Smyth of The Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds, who wound up drawing 1-1 with Wanderers, started the game with only one Premier League win from eight games this season.

And with Raphinha being Marcelo Bielsa’s best player by a distance so far, this is a very worrying development.

Here’s what some United fans are saying in response to Smyth’s tweet:

Trouble

You really can’t blame Leeds fans for fearing the worst here.

As mentioned, the 24-year-old has been their best player by a million miles this season and with Bielsa’s side seemingly in a relegation fight even with him, how are they going to do without him?

It’s important that the baby isn’t thrown out with the bathwater here because Smyth’s tweet aside, zero is known about the severity of the injury as of yet.

But it’s true that it certainly doesn’t look good for Raphinha and it’ll be a very anxious wait for all concerned to discover the extent of the damage.
