Actor Peter Scolari has sadly passed away aged 66.

The New York native was best known for playing Michael Harris on Newhart and Henry Desmond in Bosom Buddies.

His death was confirmed by his manager Ellen Lubin Sanitsky to Variety who revealed he had died on Friday morning after a battle with cancer.

Meet Peter Scolari’s wife

Peter Scolari’s wife Tracy Shayne is an actress from Brooklyn, New York.

She has starred in a number of TV series including Blindspot (2015), Homeland (2011) and Law & Order (1990).

As well as TV, she also works as a broadway actress and has been in Bronx Bombers, A Chorus Line, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Chicago.

Inside their marriage

Peter and Tracy were married for eight years before his death.

They wed on June 21st 2013 with an intimate ceremony in a New York apartment and celebration at the Glass Tavern restaurant.

The pair do not have any children together, but Tracy is the stepmother of Peter’s four children from other marriages: Nicholas, Joseph, Keaton, and Cali.

Peter has been married four times

Before Tracy, Peter was married to three other women.

First, he married Lisa Kretzchmar in 1981. They were only married for two years and divorced in 1983.

In 1986, he married his first wife, Debra Steagal, who he was married to for ten years until 1996.

Then, in 1998, he married actress Cathy Trien, who starred in Pootie Tang (2001), The Drop (2014) and Gotham (2014).

They were married for six years until 2004.
